dc.description.abstract The number of orphans worldwide is increasing day by day due to various reasons like war, calamities, accidents, etc. In Pakistan, like many other social issues, this one still needs massive attention as the unmonitored increase in orphans causes a rise in many other problems later. The inspiration was to make this world a better place for everyone including those who are already in a state of misery because of less or no support from immediate family. A lot of social issues can be dealt with by just tackling this issue regarding orphans as they will grow up to be a part of the same society that we are living in. Secondly, the idea was to solve a social problem and work towards the minority which contributes to the betterment of society one way or another. These orphans often face psychological issues like depression, aggressive behavior, anger management issues, emotional expression, etc. Another article, published by a group of clinical psychologists, states that there is a notable difference in the behavior of orphans and nonorphans. The findings of the present study reveal that there is a significant difference in the hostility and world view of institutionalized orphans, non-institutionalized orphans and non-orphan adolescents. So, architecture can be used as a bridge for these children to overcome their problems by incorporating spaces that have a positive effect on their minds and physical health. Using architecture as a medium to help the children living in orphanages, in their healing process if not directly then by stimulating their minds. As they are the future of our country and are going to be a part of our society. Such homes for orphans must be made for children where their psychological health is prioritized. en_US
