dc.description.abstract The need to explore is intrinsic to human nature and has led man where he is now: the cusp of the Space Age. With the discovery of water in outer space, it seems more and more likely that humans could live in space one day. And yet, Pakistan has yet to make any strides in the field of space sciences. Why is Pakistan so behind in its journey of space exploration? Quite possibly, it is the lack of awareness among the public about the opportunities that space science opens up. The thesis question is "How can architecture generate public interest in space sciences?" The purpose of the thesis is to investigate the problems that hinder the growth of the field of astrophysics in Pakistan, to find gaps in the current education system and to provide solutions to these problems. The project aims to provide a space for learning through recreation, research and formal study. The project also aims to create and explore a poetic dialogue between architecture and outer space. en_US
