Abstract:
Building a vertical tower with hybridized and cross programs as a response to the
current infrastructure of Islamabad where a need to go vertical has may arise due to a shift
from singular focused utilitarianism to combination of programs in singular structures. This
mega structure would essentially be a multi-use building, presenting a localized model for the
built environment of Islamabad responding to the external influences of the context. The cross
linkage of programs would be a key element in the design of the, vertical hybrid program
superstructure. This thesis could serve as a model for future high rise development in
Islamabad. Providing an example that explores the potential of cross programming and
program hybridization within a tall building while incorporating various aspects of the
surrounding context, exploiting its potential and building upon these factors.
