AUTOMATION OF G BRANCH

Abstract

G-Branch, deals with a large amount of data, stores its data in the old traditional manner, like in files and registers. Sometimes these files/registers are displaced, damaged or unavailable because of human errors and mistakes. To overcome this dilemma, G-Branch database has been developed. G-Branch DBMS is a database application program. It is developed using Oracle7 and developer 2000 R 2-1 tool set. As far as database is concerned, Oracle language is the most powerful and effective computer language as compared to any other database languages available in the market. G-Branch is developed and designed after thorough study of current working system of G-Branch at EME College. Requirements of the potential users have been analyzed thoroughly. G-Branch DBMS has been developed systematically and in a wellorganized manner. It is expected that G-Branch DBMS will optimize the performance of the G-Branch by providing desired information instantly and providing up to date information of different records used by GBranch. It will also enhance the confidence of the command and staff for the management of technical activities of the units in an efficient and effective manner.
