dc.description.abstract Integrating Distributed Generation (DG) into the supply system leads to substantial improvements in efficiency, performance, and reliability, resulting in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly energy infrastructure. Scientists have suggested many methods for incorporating distributed generation (DG) into distribution system design. These methods include strategically placing DGs to reduce energy losses and enhance system performance. The majority of performed research has highlighted the significance of distributed generation (DG) in influencing the future of energy distribution. However, if the Distributed Generation (DG) is too small or in the wrong location, it might unintentionally cause the network to have more energy losses, which would decrease its efficiency and performance. In this study, we used Particle Swarm Optimizations (PSO) to optimize the positioning and dimensions of Distributed Generation (DG) units in the distribution network. The objective was to minimize the overall power losses and enhance the efficiency of the system. Our simulation tests were conducted using MATLAB, and we used optimization techniques to provide a full mapping of the results. This mapping correlates with decreases in active power loss, offering significant information. By applying the suggested approach to the IEEE 33 and 69 bus systems, there was a notable decrease in power loss inside the distribution network. The network's efficiency and reliability were significantly enhanced by optimizing the placement and size of Distributed Generation (DG) units. en_US
