Abstract:
The project titled GPS/GSM based Tracking & Management System. The Project
basically covers the area of Microcontroller Based System Design. We have implemented
a microcontroller based board with features of GSM Modem for sending and receiving
short text messages, Global Position System for location awareness and EEPROMs to
store data. The controller is programmed to send its position to a Base Station through
short text messages. Once the message is received the latitude, longitude and other
necessary information is separated from the message and the point is plotted on a
geographical information system. The device can be used as a Tracking and Controlling
System for any object to which it is connected.
