Abstract:
Automated air defence deployment (A3D) is a process to deploy radars and
weapons using 3D DEM data. A 3D digital elevation model (DEM) is to represent
the continuously varying topographic surface of the earth, and it is a common data
source for terrain analysis and other spatial applications. Automated air defence
deployment, which saves time and resources wasted on manual search of
deployment areas, will maximize coverage and security under available resources.
The Project aims to develop a system which would find deployment points using
DEM data of interested land, based on user specified valuable assets/points
(VA/VPs), attack direction of enemy, weapons and radars properties, using
mathematical models and training data through artificial intelligence algorithms.
The system is artificially trained to find the best deployment points keeping
constraints of the scenario and all-important aspects of deployment in
consideration. The software is linked to available Radar and Weapon database.
System also provide users the details of a DEM file in terms of common metrics
used in Air Defence
