Abstract:
Thallium Scan and Computed Tomographic (CT) Angiography are two major
heart scans which are normally used to detect cardiac artery blockage. At the
moment, two separate machines are used to acquire and analysis Thallium scan
and CT images. This can lead to uncertain diagnosis of the heart disease. The
proposed system designs a unified tool for accurate diagnostic of Cardio
Vascular Infarction by fusing the imagery of CT Angiography and Thallium
Scan. This fusion is achieved by the implementation of various image
processing techniques and geometric transformation algorithms. The specialist
has the right to perform this fusion separately and upload the image on the web
portal. The development of a web portal provides ease to the specialist as well
as the patients to view their reports online as well as access their basic
information. A detailed SQL based database is developed to maintain
information related to doctors, patients and medical reports. The fusion offers
more visibility to cardiac specialist to identify cause of heart infarction with
greater certainty.
