Abstract:
This project uses the data mining, social networking and the latest e-marketing techniques to keep
updated the farmers with modern agriculture techniques and news. This project also provide an easy
and accurate solution to their problems in an easy way. As we know that 70% of land of Pakistan is
arable and 60% of people are linked with this profession. So there is a need to provide them
knowledge about modern agriculture techniques and latest technological solution to their problems
by which they can get maximum yield from their crops. This project uses data mining techniques for
extracting the agriculture related data from the internet. Farmers are get notified on their mobile
phones with weather forecasting and pest ratio in their region and the methods which are to be adopted
to cater far bugs/worms problems.
An online database is developed which contains the data of the users which are registered
with our service. Registration of farmers can be done manually by using online portal or automatically
by sending a SMS. The registered farmers then will be able to get the latest agriculture/dairy farming
updates on their mobile phones in their native language i.e. URDU. This project will facilitate the
farmers and will be very useful in creating a small social network of farmers where they will share
their success stories of modern agriculture.
