dc.description.abstract FilmKit [1] is an android based consumer-facing app, whose objective is to make video manipulation, cinematic collaboration and sharing a lot of easier and interesting. Its target audience is everyone using a smartphone, who enjoys to record, edit and share videos. It provides its user with a number of options for editing their video. User is in full control and able to apply complex transformations through an interface that is easy and intuitive to use. Our task in this project is to develop the basic tools, adjustment tools and editing tools that are applied to each and every frame of video in order to provide multiple layers/modes of video manipulation. These transformations include adjustments of colors, brightness, contrast etc., resizing, rotation, some basic and creative effects, frames, vintage looks and many more. It also include merging effects –Creation of customized effects.  Overlaying effects to create new effects this will enable users to create their own personalized effects.  Single effects can be adjusted to create ‘new’ effect by changing the intensity of the effect. Users are able to access all the frames of video and apply these transformations on selective frames or on the whole video as per their requirement. So our team’s (Video Effects team) task is to provide the intermediate functioning between the front end and the back end team of the app. en_US
