3D modelling involves developing mathematical representation of any 3D surface of an object and displaying it in 2D via 3D rendering techniques. It involves extensive workout for designer in terms of editing a model in 3D perspective on a 2D screen while rotating, moving and reaching different areas and surfaces of the subject body typically with the help of a pointing device such as a mouse. This type of user interaction and activity is lacking usability and is exhaustive for designers specially the amateur designers who feel not comfortable scrolling and moving around with mouse to reach different angles and axes of a 3D model.
We aim to relieve this problem faced by most designers by introducing a hand motion sensor module as an input to 3D modelling software that allows user to move and orient their hands in space (real space) to perform rotation, orientation, translation, planar adjustment and feature editing of 3D model in a Virtual Reality environment that makes this interaction much realistic yet productive and interesting. The solution is a comprehensive finished product integrating 3D modelling with controllers with additional support of collaboration via centralized streaming to further enhance interactive user experience with promised quality aspects. |
