VOIP Over 3G/4G

Abstract

This project is about Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Communication between peers on 4G. The communication protocol used is the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). A SIP Server is setup and configured on Linux Platform. A SIP client on android will also be developed. Significant features will be introduced in the client to enhance user experience, increase the target audience and to make it distinct from all the applications in the mainstream market. The basic steps involve setting up of SIP server in Ubuntu, designing of virtual clients, communication monitoring, development of android application, its testing and configuring it with SIP. Application will be compatible with 4G. This report discusses the approach towards our final product of the project, the work done till now and how we will proceed further. Design has been discussed to make the idea of the project clear and make the audience understand about the importance of this project. The design depicts how the network will be established and how it will work to meet the objectives that are mentioned prior to the design of the final product.
