dc.description.abstract We have developed a test-bed for providing IP voice/video calling with voicemail facility in MCS. This setup is completely based on open standard solution to replace Cisco unified system which requires licensing cost for each service implementation and maintenance. Asterisk, which is an open source Private Branch Exchange (PBX) is a complete telecommunications platform and represents a highly valuable piece of software for providing network solutions using an open source environment by eliminating the cost of required licensing.
