Abstract:
One of the best ways to ensure safety, particularly from explosive materials such as mines or IEDs, is to maintain a safe distance. This paper presents the concept of the metal mine detector mounted on a quad-copter, which is used as a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). The project allows a person to detect and detonate/mark dangerous and hazardous material from a safe distance. A small wireless camera, mounted on the UAV is used for the purpose of video reconnaissance of the surrounding area. The project included the design of the UAV and the metal detector, and their implementation, and concluded with the test flight of the finished quad-copter module
