dc.description.abstract According to WHO report as of 2014 coronary heart disease has been ranked as the first cause for death in Pakistan along with being the leading cause of death worldwide it contributes to 17 million hospitalizations and 313 billion USD spent annually. Survival rate of a heart patient with ventricular fibrillation is less than 12 minutes during which timely assistance can save lives. Recovering heart patients need to monitor their diet and activity routines to mitigate chances of another occurrence. Our app AEGIS aims to provide a platform that would help patients to monitor themselves, keep track of their vitals that are ECG, heart rate, temperature and activity. Alongside allowing the patients to keep track of their diet which helps in fitness monitoring and cardiac rehabilitation, set reminders for appointments, measuring blood pressure and medicine intake. As well as have a support group in our forum. Moreover have their caretakers and doctors on board to be notified timely in case of an emergency. AEGIS for doctors allows them to monitor their patient’s progress, participate in forums and get notified timely in case of an emergency. en_US
