dc.description.abstract In today's high technology environment, organizations like military are becoming more and more dependent on their information systems. Information security is one of the most important military issues of the 21st century. Thus, we need to reduce the risk of data breach by developing a low cost and trust worthy module which could not only be locally produced but shall also be compatible with military communication devices like wireless sets. The project focuses on development of a minimum cost module with implementation of the advanced encryption standard (AES) algorithm and serial communication on Raspberry pi board. The module thus produced shall be used with military wireless sets via RS232 communication standard. en_US
