dc.description.abstract Security of computer systems is becoming a fundamental requirement, as distributed computing is inherently insecure. Negligence of security issues leads to huge information loss. To prevent these issues, it is customary to carry out active scanning of networks to highlight present security flaws and breaches. In organizations, with fast increase of vulnerabilities and corresponding exploits, even a completely patched network of systems may have a security weakness. NetXploit, a smart penetration testing toolkit having an automated framework able to actively scan a wireless network in order to reveal its network topology and vulnerabilities through various exploitation techniques. These vulnerabilities may result from mis-configurations, NetXploit uses same principles as crackers or hackers to conduct penetration testing of the computer network, but have permission from the network owner to do so. The analysis will help shed light on security risks and confirm whether the present security measures are effective or not. en_US
