dc.description.abstract MIMO (multiple input multiple output) is atechnology in which multiple antennas are used at both transmitter and receiver sides. They are used to improve channel capacity and diversity. The multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) system has become a encouraging technique in present and future generation of wireless communication systems. By varying the no of antennas, we can change the channel capacity without changing the power and bandwidth.Multipath fading is a very grave problem as different signals which are transmitted have different amplitudes and phases which add or subtract at the receiver side reducing the signal quality. It can be reduced MIMO. In this paper, a compact two element array MIMO antennahas been designed for multiband purpose for use in different wireless communication systems. A low profile PIFA design is selected because of its low mutual coupling between the antennas. en_US
