Abstract:
Infrastructure for smart shopping is the solution that deals with the customers and
administrative portion of sMart Shopping which is an online shopping mall built with
business intelligence. The business intelligence is used for analyzing data generated by
shopping mall for trend analysis and future prediction. More over the shopping mall itself
is equipped with a bundle of very useful features for its users. This infrastructure also
provides the business intelligence using data mining technique called market basket
analysis. The account for merchants and further business intelligence of sMart shopping
is developed as “merchant toolkit for smart shopping” and included in separate report by
Shaharyar Shaikh.
This report starts with the introduction of the system itself. The introduction is the
followed by the related work in this field. Tutorial background has also been provided for
better understanding of technical terminologies used in this document. A complete
description of the design, working and features of each module is also given along with
the experimental results of testing and quality assurance of product.
The conclusion will show the robustness, reliability and usability of the system.
The system behavior and recommendations for how business intelligence can be used in a
more effective way are also provided in the conclusions and recommendations. In the end
the possibilities of future enhancements for sMart Shopping are given.
