dc.description.abstract A lot of research work done in past time to improve the quality of bridge without compromising on the cost by using a same material concrete, steel and sometime wooden. These all are the conventional method for the structural design. But now the space structures i-e double layer grids are becoming popular in the world as they provide a large span for the bridges etc. But we still need a lot of work to improve their performance by establishing codes and standards for the design of any type of structures by using these space structures. Space structures are highly indeterminate structures and analysis done by direct methods (like stiffness Methods etc.) are almost impossible because of their complex response. So, we need to develop an approximate analysis Girder analogy which gives the response of the structures which are comparable with the response of the Structure which are modeled on a SAP2000. We apply a girder analogy on a bridge superstructure and we also model the structure (actually in real) on SAP2000.Based on structural behavior of double layer grid, we can be made our structure safe and economical. en_US
