dc.description.abstract Kinect device gives the ability to track a human skeleton in 3D space. This allows programmers to do interesting HCI work. Instead of using the mouse pointer in an application like Microsoft Paint, we have created a Kinect based application that gives the user multiple options (a toolbar on the side with selectable options, via hand gestures) to create, manipulate, save, and load 3D models. The view given to the user is an augmented view, i.e. it merges the real work (camera view on Kinect) with the virtual world (application). This gives a very realistic experience to the user and interacting with the virtual objects is fun. en_US
