dc.description.abstract Poor planning, defective design strategies and selection of inappropriate maintenance and operations plan are few major problems in getting best worth out of the money spent on highway projects. Similarly during planning phase of developing highway infrastructure their overall summative impact on community, road users, environment, future concerns about quality and capacity, economics and many more is not considered. In any highway planning process there are always more then on alternative available, these alternatives may vary in route alignment, design strategies or maintenance and operational plan. The above mentioned problems can be solved by equipping the planners with analysis tool that can analyses different alternative economically, environmentally and on the basis of performance. This project is about to make such a computational tool which evaluate and compare the different alternatives of project and aid the planners in making a right decision. The tool will aid designers and planners to evaluate alternatives in project level assessment economically, environmentally and to determine the benefits provided to the users. It will also aid at the end to compare the alternatives by the process of multi criterion decision making to select the best alternative. en_US
