dc.description.abstract This Project refers to the parking issues being raised in F-11 Markaz of Islamabad due to various reasons. The traffic requirement of present and future were analysed by taking traffic counts and carrying out different surveys in the affected areas. The patter of parking and public behaviour along with the facilities in all the parking lots have been studied thoroughly. Then similar problematic cases were studied that how these issues were developed in the developed countries. The traffic growth influx and patters of future were also considered while providing solution to this problem. Some Immediate and Long term solutions were provided in order to eradicate the parking issues. The proposed immediate solution consist of management plans that are a way forward in reducing traffic congestion on Hilal road due to parking issues. The Long term plan consist of allocation of space for provision of a modern multi-storey car parking plaza. The geometric design of multi-storey car parking facility has been drafted keeping in view all the provisions and requirement which will be capable to accommodate the parking demand for the next 20 years. All the modern studies and geometric parameters for maximum turnover and efficiency have been taken care of in the geometric design of facility. If the land use and traffic growth influx remains the same, then this multi-storey car parking facility will be enough to hold the traffic along with the existing parking lots. en_US
