dc.description.abstract The construction sector is growing exponentially, many developments in the construction sector are rated positively because they contribute to job creation, infrastructure development and wealth creation. However, construction sector is also rated negatively because it produces large amount of construction waste which has a greater impact on the environment. According to studies by Khahro et al. (2016) construction waste has become the most important problem affecting the company's reputation and overall project performance worldwide. It also affects the environment of society, which develops various economic, social and other ecological problems. The rapid industrial and urban development leads to construction wastage that is generated in large quantities Luangcharoenrat et al. (2019). The aim of the research was to identify critical factors that contributes towards waste generation in construction industry of Pakistan. This study employs a mix of qualitative and quantitative research approaches to identify and prioritize the factors that contribute to the generation of waste. en_US
