dc.description.abstract Aluminum sulfate is a useful chemical used mainly in the water treatment process. With Pakistan being ranked the 3rd most affected country in the world by an acute water shortage, water treatment needs to be made more commercially viable, which can happen thanks to the production of aluminum sulfate locally using local raw materials. This research looks at the production process of aluminum sulfate starting from bauxite to the final product, equipment design, cost considerations and the overall viability of setting up a large-scale aluminum sulfate plant in Pakistan that utilizes locally available bauxite to accomplish its production and quality targets. en_US
