dc.description.abstract The constantly increasing demand placed on industrial machine tool manufacturer for great speed and accuracies, Ball screw actuators have potential of meeting these higher demands. Design and development of the zero backlash servo actuator mechanism and to develop an expert system which will evaluate the data analysis of the servo actuator mechanism with finite element analysis & experimental results which will enhance the design. The main cause of failure of ball screw shaft is by buckling. Ansys workbench is used to analyze the buckling failure. Ansys and experimental results been compared and a correction factor is introduced in expert system to optimized the design. en_US
