dc.description.abstract Corrosion of materials during service due to its contact with different vigorous environment is a common problem for industries, In this work efforts been made to add a bit further knowledge in the already existing corrosion protection work by enhancing pipeline service life by making it more corrosion resistant. It is demonstrated in this research that corrosion of a Cast iron pipeline samples were suppressed when we coated them with Poly vinyl Alcohol/Polyanline/Flg and TiO2/GO nanocomposite by dip coating technique, while putting them in corrosive environments of sea water and crude oil and using Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) for testing coating stability. EIS shows that these coatings were showing good capacitance and high impedance values compare to bare metal sample by proving to be an excellent barrier for charge transport, while Tafel scan results further confirmed that corrosion rate was decreased significantly on coated sample. SEM and EDS investigation reveals that coating was gradually degraded due to corrosive reaction while corrosion product was developed. These results can prove to be very vital for industries facing corrosion issues and in future work different set of nanocomposite coating can be tested in various environments for better comparative study. en_US
