dc.description.abstract Piezoelectric transducers, a type of electro-acoustic transducers, have gained significant importance over the past few decades due to its different applications in different processes like underwater sound navigation, proximity sensors and level sensors. Most piezoelectric transducers are composed of piezoceramics. These piezoceramic materials have different shapes like ring, disc and rectangular shape. Resonance method is the most commonly used method to determine the material properties of piezoceramic materials. In this thesis software is designed that is capable of determining these material properties on the basis of resonance method. The material properties of piezoceramic materials have specific equations based on the shape of the ceramic material. These equations are used as the basis for the development software. Labview 2015 is used for developing the software as it is user friendly and can be easily interfaced with the hardware. A piezoceramic ring is obtained along with its electro-mechanical properties. The results of software are then validated by comparing the results of software and the results of manufacturer. The results obtained from comparison are in good agreement with each other. A linear relation is also obtained between the applied force and obtained voltage through different experiments. en_US
