dc.description.abstract |
to the continuous increase in global warming and pollution around the world, there is an increase need of reducing CO2 emissions that harm the environment. Automobiles are one of the major contributors to the damage of ozone layer and yet they are a basic necessity for human life. Even though car companies are making a move for electric vehicles that have no contribution to global warming, they still have a long way to go. Petrol and diesel vehicles are to stick around for the considerable future due to the fact that electric vehicles are expensive and the technology is still in development. So hence, there is a need to modify the current petrol & diesel engines so that they contribute less to the pollution. Our project is aimed at creating a variable valve actuation system that will do just that by reducing the CO2 emissions along with increasing the efficiency, power, fuel economy and also eliminate the camshaft from the engine which will result in a smaller engine and will give us much more control over the engine’s performance. |
