dc.description.abstract Transportation sector plays a crucial role in the economy of a country, but its adverse effects can’t be denied. Transportation sector is one of the major source of greenhouse gas emissions. Situation is even worse in developing countries like Pakistan where public transport facilities are very rare. Viable and long lasting solution to the problem is needed. Another problem is that our transportation sector along with many other industries is still not automated. Crucial time of people is wasted while waiting for public vehicle to come. Due to these reasons, we came up with idea of providing electric Bike service in National University of Science and Technology. Electric Bikes cause very less environmental pollution as compare to the petrol bikes. A detailed online survey was conducted and based on that survey electric bike service is designed. This design includes station design, allocation of sites for stations and calculation of travel time. A GPS based Mobile application is developed which will save booking and navigation time of the riders. en_US
