dc.description.abstract Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) has taken over the world and is considered to be a huge burden on the healthcare system with high mortality rate all across the globe. One of the promising strategies to cater this problem is the use of Antimicrobial Peptides (AMPs) as a drug or vaccine candidate. To gather information about these peptides, various biological databases have been developed but they have some limitations like maintenance issues, manual curation and few mentioned physicochemical properties. To solve these issues, A real-time Databases of Antimicrobial Peptides (rtAMPs) is developed. It is a real time database with additional features that distinguish it from other databases. The data in it is updated automatically and a total of 21 physicochemical properties have been added for each AMP that will benefit the scientists to select the best AMP candidate for their research purpose. rtAMPs has 12,160 entries with their predicted structures. With the passage of time, it is targeted to categorize these AMPs into various sub-types. To further facilitate, disulphide engineering of these AMPs can be done to increase their stability. Further, AMP- target protein interactions will be a plus point that will facilitate the scientists to visualize the possible behavior of AMPs in the human body when encountered with the pathogen. rtAMPs is available online at http://rtamps.mgbio.asab.nust.edu.pk en_US
