dc.description.abstract The project focuses on the Vacuum Distillation Unit (VDU) design to refine the residue of the Atmospheric Distillation Column into the Asphalt, which is our targeted product. The simulation has been carried out through Aspen HYSYS V11 Program. The project includes mass and energy balance calculations, the design of equipment, the economic analysis, the HAZOP Analysis, and improving the production of Asphalt. Cost analysis helps us to estimate the total cost of VDU, through the economic summary from Aspen HYSYS. This study concluded that it is feasible to increase Asphalt production by adjusting the flow rate of Atmospheric Distillation Column residue. This is the main objective we worked for en_US
