Abstract:
The objective of our project is the development of a natural gas processing plant
able to process feed from four different wells of various known compositions.
Natural gas when excavated is in a mixture of gases, oils, water and solids which
need to be processed in order to obtain a refined product that can be further
used. Natural gas is not only a great source of low sulfur fuel but is also the
feedstock of various businesses for example Petro-chemical and fertilizers
industries all use Natural gas to obtain Nitrogen, Hydrogen, Carbon monoxide
and ammonia gas. Due to this dependency on Natural gas, it is essential to
develop an effective and efficient processing plant that not only extracts a large
proportion of gas from the well but also delivers other components as useable
by-products. Our goal here is to produce a model that is able to output more than
90% of the total methane present in the feedstock along with producing LPG
(C4+C5) and propane recovery (95%) as by-products in an economical manner.
