Abstract:
In the present study synthesis of 2D nanosheets/nanoparticles base TiO2/NbSe2 nanocomposites were composed in different weight percent. The concentration of TiO2 is varied as 1, 2,5,10,20,50,80 weight percent with respect to NbSe2 and is prepared by liquid phase exfoliation method. The descending peaks in RAMAN spectroscopy and XRD confirms the presence of NbSe2 nanosheets and TiO2 nanoparticles. Scanning electron microscopy affirms the generation of layered nanosheets. The composites were utilized for the photodegradation of RhB dye underneath the visible light irradiation. Noticeable powerful photocatalysis for degradation of dye of prepared nanocomposites because of visible light absorption provided with the aid of using NbSe2 collectively. UV-Vis Spectrum demonstrate that introduction of NbSe2 increases the light absorption capability of nanocomposites and through visible light absorption it considerably progresses for photocatalytic activity. The pattern having 80 wt% of TiO2 suggest excellent overall performance with nearly complete dye degradation of 98% in 150 min under visible light irradiation. The nanocomposite 20wt.% of TiO2/NbSe2 was setup to conquer imperfection in the electrochemical energy storage devices by showing the maximum specific capacitance of (519.6 F. g-1), high energy density (64.9 WhKg-1) and with the power density of (0.25 Wkg1) and with adequate capacitance retention of 95% after 5000 cycles. Results demonstrate that TiO2/NbSe2 composite showed better results for capacitance as compared to NbSe2 nanosheets and TiO2 nanoparticles individually.
