dc.description.abstract The growing Hindutva ideology under Narendra Mod’s regime has brought immense implications for the Muslims of India. since the ideology believes in uniformity of the religion, Muslims being a majority-minority have automatically become the target of the Hindutva ideologues. Muslims throughout the country are reported to be discriminated against. The spread of Hindutva has engulfed the territory of Kashmir, a disputed land between Pakistan and India. Hindutva-led BJP regime has led the country into a divide between the secularists and Hindu nationalists. This research aims to explore the role of Narendra Modi as a Prime Minister in the promotion of Hindutva. And to find out to what extent the policy-making of India Under Modi’s regime is influenced by this ideology. The research also tries to answer how stripping the autonomous status of Kashmir serves the Hindutva purpose. en_US
