dc.description.abstract Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that is caused by bacteria called mycobacterium. It affects mainly lungs of the human body, but it can also affect other organs of the body like spinal cord, brain and bones etc.It can spread via air when an infected individual sneezes or coughs, the myc-becterium spreads in to the air and it might affect the healthy individuals in surrounding. According to WHO annual report, in spite of newer developments in the medical field, Globally tuberculosis is still leading cause of the death after HIV aids. The main objective of this research work is the application of nonlinear control techniques to contain and prevent tuberculosis. In this research work we have considered five state SEIRS epidemiological model of TB and three nonlinear controllers have been designed to control and prevent the TB. The core objective of this work is to reduce the infected individuals via treatment and to prevent the healthy individuals from the disease via vaccination. We have designed three nonlinear controllers and compared the results with each other. Simulation for each nonlinear controller is done in Simulink and Matlab. The results depict that the nonlinear controllers are more robust and show fast convergence to desired level. The goal of the whole work is to reduce the infected class and susceptible class so that the disease can be eradicated from the society. The State Feedback nonlinear controller shows far better results as compared to the Synergetic controller and Lyapunov controller in terms of convergence time, steady state error and oscillation. en_US
