dc.description.abstract There are a lot of different models and platform enhancement features available to improve the performance and to increase the effectiveness of hardware resource utilization. A study is required to analyze the different available options and technologies and their impact on each other so that a best decision could be made to choose a certain set of performance enhancement features. In NFV where all the network functions will be running on a virtual platform i.e. cloud environment Network traffic is a big concern and there are a lot of challenges associated with it e.g. as the number of rules/flows will grow on a certain SDN controller or switch i.e. OVS its performance will start decaying. A study is required to evaluate the different options available and their impact on the performance of network throughput. en_US
