dc.description.abstract The objective of this project is to design and manufacture the Suspension System of a Formula Student Car adhering to the principles of Mechanical Engineering focusing especially on Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Machines, Solid Mechanics, Mechanical Vibrations and Finite Element Analysis. The design of the suspension system includes creating a suspension and steering geometry, designing and selecting components accordingly, performing structural analysis on the designed parts, manufacturing and procurement of the components, and integration of suspension system with the formula student car. The design has been finalized after subsequent iterations made on the basis of the objectives that are to be achieved. Different tools like SolidWorks, ANSYS and Lotus Shark are used in the design process. The design, wherever, inspired by existing designs has been credited to the rightful individuals. en_US
