dc.description.abstract InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) is a peer to peer filesharing and trans ferring protocol to create content-addressable, distributed and permanent way of sharing and hosting hypermedia. It has been inspired and build on top of pervious technologies like BitTorrent, DHT, Git and SFS to build faster, secure and more open web. This thesis present a detailed analysis of IPFS network from various perspectives like Network analysis, Performance analysis and for that a series of experiments have been performed based on different metrics and characteristics which yields statistical overview of the network. The thesis also present a quick insight of IPFS protocol stack and its component en_US
