dc.description.abstract Vacuum membrane distillation technique is employed to purify industrial waste water. This technique is a very handy solution to the current water challenges. The feed water enters the test section from one side and evaporates. The vapors than pass through a hydrophobic membrane to the permeate side. The driving force is vacuum pressure generated by vacuum pump on the permeate side. Mathematical modelling is conducted to know the effects of temperature, feed velocity and pressure difference. The temperature is increased through a heat exchanger en_US
