dc.description.abstract Energy crisis is the major problem of modern world especially developing countries across the globe including Pakistan. Harnessing energy from thermoacoustic is vital to ensure a sustainable future and lower carbon emissions. Thermoacoustic generators directly converts thermal sound waves into electricity, and over the last few decades have become an extremely promising research domain. Their applications are primarily in the aerospace industry, although they can be easily installed in many decentralized energy generation and refrigeration technologies. This project aims to develop a low-cost, maintenance-free, and flexible prototype capable of harnessing this low-grade source of energy at a small scale which can open a wide window of opportunity for the future thermoacoustic micro power generation and refrigeration on domestic level. This document provides a comprehensive review of thermoacoustic devices, components, applications, and methodology to be followed for project completion. en_US
