Abstract:
The main aim of this research is to present research findings and the work carried out related
to the design of an Electric power train for front-wheel drive four-wheelers, identifying the
impact that electric vehicles have on the environment and using it to implement this
phenomenon using the shelf parts, setting up the target vehicle specifications, performance
goals, selection of motors, battery, inverters, and other components, etc. The performance
of BEV (Battery Electric Vehicles) depends upon components like batteries, motors,
bidirectional energy converters, and the combustion engine. Power rating requirements for
the Electrical motor will be calculated using the drag coefficient, car dimensions,
coefficient of rolling resistance, air density, the curb weight of the car, engine weight,
estimated battery weight (if possible, to calculate), and other similar parameters. A 3D
Solid Works model might be required to design the motor mounts, battery packaging,
mounts, and the electric motor-gearbox adapter. Software including MATLAB/Simulink
might be used to simulate power flow systems based on a selected drive cycle and to find
the power requirements of the Electric Motor
