dc.description.abstract The increasing demand for automobiles due to the growing global population has presented several challenges that need to be addressed. One major concern is the reliance on Internal Combustion Engines (ICEs) in traditional vehicles, which contributes to serious climate change implications and energy security issues. Additionally, the rise in population has led to a scarcity of space, causing problems such as the need for more parking areas and worsening traffic congestion. To tackle these challenges, an innovative solution has emerged in the form of a folding and portable electric bike that offers energy conservation and space optimization. By incorporating electrical components such as a motor, controller, and throttle, this bike offers a greener alternative to traditional ICE vehicles. The use of electricity as a power source significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions, helping combat climate change and offers a cheaper source instead of traditional fuel like petrol. With the global population on the rise, the widespread adoption of electric bikes can play a crucial role in minimizing the environmental impact caused by the increasing reliance on ICE vehicles. Moreover, the folding and portable design of these electric bikes addresses the space limitations faced in urban areas. As the demand for parking spaces continues to grow and traffic congestion worsens, the ability to fold and store the bike easily becomes invaluable. The compact size allows users to carry the bike indoors, whether it's in their homes, offices, or public transportation, eliminating the need for traditional parking spaces and reducing the strain on existing infrastructure. The design and fabrication of the foldable e-bike involved a systematic approach, encompassing several crucial steps. First, a thorough design and analysis phase has been undertaken to develop an efficient and reliable foldable mechanism. Next, careful selection of electrical components has been made by performing necessary calculations. Once the design and component selection has been finalized, the project moved on to the final fabrication phase. This project report comprehensively explores all phases involved in the design and fabrication of the foldable and portable e-bike. en_US
