dc.description.abstract This report presents comprehensive details of the progress of our Final Year Design Project i.e., a Portable Solar Refrigerator with a Battery Backup. The project addresses the problem of inadequate cold storage available for farmers in remote areas and aims to solve it by building a solar-powered, energy-efficient refrigeration unit with a backup battery. The paper begins with a brief introduction to the problem statement, and defines the objectives of the project, followed by an in-depth exploration of the literature review. The subsequent chapters elucidate the details of the methodology adopted for the design, and analysis of the obtained results. Key aspects of the design include Cooling Load Calculation. Compressor and Solar-Plate Selection, Heat Exchanger Design, and Selection of Throttling Devices and Thermostat. Through this thorough examination, the report sheds light on the progress so far, offering valuable insights into the development of the Portable Solar Refrigerator with a Battery Backup. en_US
