Abstract:
The greenhouse effect sustains Earth's temperature at an optimal level for life,
However, human activities have disrupted this equilibrium by releasing excessive
greenhouse gases, resulting in a steady rise in global temperatures. The project
aims to tackle the global issue of rising temperatures by capturing CO2 emissions
from the cement industry, which is one of the largest CO2 emitters, and
transforming them into formic acid using an eco-friendly electro-catalysis process.
This innovative approach not only helps reduce greenhouse gases but also
produces valuable chemicals. By making industries more sustainable, we're taking
a step toward a greener future, where we can address climate change while still
meeting our production needs.
