Abstract:
Industries have been using those clear plastic self-seal bags for packing garments for long now. But to
do so, on a larger scale, one of those bigger automated machines are being used to date. These big
machines can only be used in industries that operate on a much higher level, producing over thousands
of packed clothing a day. On a smaller scale though, this operation is carried out physically where they
do not need to pack clothing in a bulk, rather do it on a needly basis with workers packing the clothes
by hand. This is obviously a slower process and we tend to present a solution to this.
According to our recent knowledge on this, there are no portable packaging machines till date, that
allow us to do what people have been doing using large machinery. Our project allows us to build a
device on a much smaller scale to carry out this operation. This device will allow us to stack those
transparent garment bags in a tray like pages in a printer, which will then be taken one by one.
Simultaneously, the device would take a folded shirt from the other end and give us out that same shirt
packed in the garment bag. Moreover, it will be quite easy to operate and carry, and using the
knowledge we have on predictive maintenance this machine will be able to signal us to any foreseeable
problem or risk we might face regarding the working.
