dc.description.abstract This project presents a detailed crack analysis of friction stir welded (FSW) plates of Al 6061 using ABAQUS, a finite element analysis software. The study aims to investigate the fracture behavior and crack propagation in FSW joints under various loading conditions. By incorporating advanced simulation techniques and using a variation of parameters specific to friction stir welding, the analysis evaluates stress intensity factors and identifies potential failure points. The results provide insights into the mechanical integrity and durability of FSW Al 6061 plates, contributing to improved welding techniques and enhanced performance of structural components in aerospace and automotive applications en_US
