dc.description.abstract The project aims to develop an efficient extruder design for producing accurate standard size filaments along with fabrication of spooling mechanism. Accuracy in filament diameter can be accomplished by improving heating parameters, improving quality of the input waste etc. The project aims to develop a compact system capable of producing high quality 3D printing filaments from plastic waste and then storing it on a spool. The system incorporates crucial components, the lead screw and barrel assembly, the hopper, and a spooling mechanism for convenient handling. The project involves various stages such as system design, component selection, fabrication, testing, and performance evaluation, with a focus on enhancing filament production efficiency and promoting recycling practices. The successful implementation of this comprehensive system will advance the production and recycling capabilities of 3D printing filaments, paving the way for more sustainable and cost-effective additive manufacturing processes en_US
