EMBA students got a chance to participate in a study trip organized by National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) and University of Southampton Malaysia (UoSM). The four day event was divided into sessions: Technology, Financial Analysis, Case study Discussions, Green Business Practices. An industry visit to Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP) was also organized by the host university where students witnessed seamless operations and state of the art technology. Additionally, the students got to experience the Malaysian culture, explore academia at UoSM and new networking opportunities. Students also got a chance to explore emerging technologies, infrastructure, delicious cuisine, and the overall economy of Malaysia.
The students also got a chance to participate in an interesting panel discussion on the impact of business education on human capital development where students and the panel members shared their view points on different topics.
Apart from this, the students were encouraged to learn the Malaysian culture and values, the overall economy and sectors contributing to the economy.
The trip ended with closing remarks by Dr. Muhammad Fawad Khan, Assistant Professor, NUST Business School and certificates were distributed among NBS participants by Prof. Rebecca Taylor, Pro Vice-Chancellor (ASEAN) and Chief Executive Officer of UoSM. |
