The Executive MBA program of the NUST Business School, an important aspect that serves an invaluable enabling service for creating the required environment for experiential learning to enhance perspectives of the EMBA students in the cohort of 2020 selected for the University of Southampton, Malaysia, for a student exchange program under the guidance of EMBA Program Head, Assistant Professor Dr. Fawad Khan. While at the University of Southampton, Malaysia, the EMBA students attended lectures conducted by distinguished faculty members and networked with professional peers in an international ambience. During their stay, they also learned a lot about the operations of Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), which is one of the major transshipment ports in Malaysia. Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn. Bhd. (PTP) is Malaysia's leading transshipment port, featuring modernized facilities and state-of-the-art equipment and systems linking all port users through modern information technology. PTP prides itself on providing its most important customers-the major shipping lines and box operators-with fast and improved services enabling shippers both in Malaysia and abroad access to greater global market connectivity. Another important feature of PTP is its integration with the Pelepas Free Zone, which allows for seamless cargo movement, thereby adding value to customers and business partners. PTP operates as a joint venture between MMC Corporation Bershad (70 %), a leading utilities and infrastructure group, and APM Terminals (30 %), one of the largest global port groups with presence in 74 countries. This partnership gives significant testimony of PTP's commitment to excellence and innovation in the provision of services to the needs of the global shipping industry. |
